We have exciting news to share!
The Michigan Cider Association (MCA) received a grant from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Craft Beverage Council: Driving Demand for Michigan-Grown Apples Through Cider Market Expansion.
This project will coordinate statewide resources to develop a regional Michigan cider and apple booklet and online presence. The end products will help consumers understand Michigan’s cider regions, introduce the growers behind the apples, and highlight tourism destinations where cider and agriculture intersect. The project seeks to guide more consumers toward Michigan-made cider, increase visitation and purchasing, and boost the utilization of Michigan-grown apples in the hard cider sector.
This marketing program is open to all MCA Standard Members in good standing with current dues paid. Even if you have not been a member in several years, we would love to have you come back! The membership fee is $250, and we need to have your dues paid in full by April 25, 2026 to be included in this new cider and apple promotional program. The ball is already rolling on this project, so now is the time to renew your MCA membership.
We are already gathering partners to support this effott: Michigan Apple Committee, Traverse City Tourism, and Pure Michigan are on board with this project. We want your cidery to be included! Please renew your MCA membership by April 25 to get a spot in our new cider promotion materials!
