Home Cidermaker Meet-Up

All home cidermakers are invited to our 2nd Annual Meet-up on Saturday, November 8, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Uncle John’s Cider Mill to connect and learn together. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to improve your cidermaking skills and engage more deeply in the Michigan cider community!
CONNECT
Swap stories – and ciders – with cidermakers from throughout the state! Whether you’re making your first batch or your hundredth, all skill levels are welcome.
LEARN
This meet-up is all about growing our palates together through sensory analysis exploration. We’ll taste each other’s ciders using the American Cider Association’s Sensory Analysis Guidelines, the same framework used by Certified Pommeliers™ to describe and evaluate cider.
Don’t worry if you’ve never used these descriptors before — this is a fun, hands-on way to learn! Together, we’ll sharpen our sensory skills, exchange feedback, and discover what makes each cider unique.
Bring a bottle or two to share — whether it’s your latest home batch or a commercial cider you’ve been excited to try with fellow cider lovers.
FERMENT
Uncle John’s will be having their bulk juice sale during our meet-up, with several great apple blends available for you to purchase and ferment at home. Learn more here.
This event is free for MCA members and $10 for non-members. Become an MCA Enthusiast Member (just $40 for a year-long membership!) quickly and easily here.
