Pux Cider

Pux is a family-owned cider company using apples from a farm that’s been in the Schaefer family since 1855. In 2012, the family began planting heirloom and cider apples in the homesteaded orchards and started to create small batches of cider. Their focus is on using cider apples that are grown on the farm and locally — about 125 apple cultivars in all, from American dessert apples to French and English cider apples.

Pux Ciders range from dry to semi-sweet. The Schaefers also create blends with other local Michigan products like tart cherries, pears, and hops. With a colorful, art-filled interior, this tasting room has fun character and an outdoor patio that makes this a great spot to sample hard cider paired with amazing cheeses from their neighbor, The Cheese Lady.
